Take
a harder look at the results of the enforcement of the variety of religions in
world history and you will note that each religion set out to seek and pursue
peaceful principles but each ended up promulgating doctrines and dogmas not
acceptable to all humanity. The result is that the mundane xenophobic,
egocentric and sociocentric desire to enforce these myopic doctrines and dogmas
take over the objective of peace and turns the world into a battlfield of
religious fanatics, mystics, demagogues and irrational beings that destroy
humanity!
The
ensuing narcissitic, masochistic and schizophrenic behavioural traits come to
the fore and crusades and jihads take over the religious mission and replaces
it with ethnocentric and egocentric objective of establishing world supremacy!
Is it not foolhardy for anyone to fight for God or Allah that we all know is Omniscient
and Omnipotent? A comparative analysis of the origins and development of
crusades and jihads seems proper here! So, let ask Wikipedia or the
encyclopaedias!
CRUSADES were/are military
expeditions, beginning in the late
11th century, that were organized by Western Christians in response to
centuries of Muslim
wars of expansion. Their objectives were to check the spread of Islam, to
retake control of the Holy Land , to conquer pagan areas,
and to recapture formerly Christian territories; they were seen by many of
their participants as a means of redemption and expiation for sins. Between
1095, when the First Crusade was launched, and 1291, when the Latin Christians
were finally expelled from their kingdom in Syria, there were numerous expeditions
to the Holy Land, to Spain, and even to the Baltic; the Crusades continued for
several centuries after 1291, usually as military campaigns intended to halt or
slow the advance of Muslim power or to conquer pagan areas. Crusading declined
rapidly during the 16th century with the advent of the Protestant Reformation
and the decline of papal
authority. Approximately two-thirds of the ancient Christian world had been
conquered by Muslims by the end of the 11th century, including the important
regions of Palestine , Syria Egypt Anatolia . The Crusades,
attempting to check this advance, initially enjoyed success, founding a
Christian state in Palestine Syria Europe despite repeated efforts to repulse
them. The Crusades constitute a controversial chapter in the history of
Christianity, and their excesses have been the subject of centuries of
historiography. The Crusades also played an integral role in the expansion of
medieval Europe .

JIHAD also spelled
jehad is a “struggle,” or “battle”, a religious duty imposed on
Muslims to spread Islam by waging war; jihad has come to denote any conflict
waged for principle or belief and is often translated to mean “holy war.” Islam
distinguishes four ways by which the duty of jihad can be fulfilled: by the
heart, the tongue, the hand, and the sword. The first consists in a spiritual
purification of one's own heart by doing battle with the devil and overcoming
his inducements to evil. The propagation of Islam through the tongue and hand
is accomplished in large measure by supporting what is right and correcting
what is wrong. The fourth way to fulfill one's duty is to wage war physically
against unbelievers and enemies of the Islamic faith. Those who professed
belief in a divine revelation—Christians and Jews in particular—were given
special consideration. They could either embrace Islam or at least submit
themselves to Islamic rule and pay a poll and land tax. If both options were
rejected, jihad was declared. Modern Islam places special emphasis on waging
war with one's inner self. It sanctions war with other nations only as a
defensive measure when the faith is in danger. Throughout Islamic history, wars
against non-Muslims, even though with political overtones, were termed jihads
to reflect their religious flavour. This was especially true in the 18th and
19th centuries in Muslim Africa south of Sahara, where religiopolitical conquests
were seen as jihads, most notably the jihad of Usman
dan Fodio, which established the Sokoto
caliphate (1804) in what is now northern Nigeria. The Afghan
War in the late 20th and early 21st centuries was also viewed by many
of its participants as a jihad, first against the Soviet Union and
Afghanistan's Marxist government and, later, against the United States. During
that time, Islamic extremists used the theory of jihad to justify violent
attacks against Muslims whom the extremists accused of apostasy (Arabic
riddah).

THE CONUNDRM OF RELIGIONS
Religious symbols have been borrowed across cultures and religious
boundaries for centuries that they rarely mean same things to a variety of
fanatical followers or worshippers of the plethora of religions and
denominations in our present world. How do we penetrate centuries of historical
distortions of the originals to define the pristine truths from nature and
established by our Creator so that we can arrive at the most objective version
that is egalitarian, humane and applicable in all cultures, time and clime for
world peace? Or, put in another fashion, how can we be certain that the
doctrines and dogmas we hold on to today were/are not merely fake theories from
the past. In short, how do we sift truth from human beliefs, myths, legends
and/or fables forged and fabricated by sages of old or demagogues whose
objectives were merely manipulating the masses of their generation into
reverencing and/or obeying them sheepishly? This is the task before all of us. It

role models with supernatural powers. This obsession confirms them as beacons

When
shall our global village be free of these lousy parasites living off the sweat
of the masses of this mundane world?
Religion, which is superstition sanctioned by the
state, is actually an addiction to man-made doctrines and dogmas invented,
patented and copyrighted by a few demagogues.
- It enslaves the mind more than psychoactive drugs,
- Benumbs human creativity and resourcefulness thereby
- Restricting the development of the human potential and capital.
It is the main cause of poverty of the mind and
underdevelopment of third world countries as its side-effects are indolence,
redundancy, laziness and dependence on finished products and services. In the
final analysis, it is the predisposing factor to lack of initiative,

Perhaps its only advantage is that it makes the
polity docile and amenable to the whims and caprices of their oppressive
leaders. Often, it hoodwinks its adherents into believing that ‘The God’ or
‘the gods’ they worship speak to them through the voices of their egocentric
clerics who therefore can conveniently exploit them to satisfy their demonic
desires of sensual pleasure and inordinate ambitions of amassing wealth. Their
wanton indulgence in gluttony, wine and women is seen in every action and
definitely this is the foolproof evidence of their demonic genealogy. Their
lifestyles is bestial, puerile and saprophytic, to say the least.

that natural laws are sacrosanct for they were made by the Almighty Architect
and Engineer who created every being on planet EARTH. They are divine and
eternal; because they are universal and are no respecters of places and times
of birth, parentage, race, educational level or religion! There are so many
self-evident examples; the movement of the sun and moon regulate the hours of
day, night, weeks, months and years; so also do gravity, temperature, pressure,
emotion, motivation, conception, pregnancy, labour and birth regulate family
life.
